Beratan Lake is a lake located in the area of Bedugul, Candikuning Village, District Baturiti, Tabanan, Bali. The easternmost lake in between the other two lakes namely Lake Road and Lake Buyan, which is a cluster of twin lakes within a large caldera, Lake Bratan is quite special.Located in the provincial road that connects the Denpasar-Singaraja and its location close to the Eka Karya Botanical Gardens to make this place into one of the mainstays of the island of Bali tourism. Besides the easy reach of Lake Bratan also provides a variety of charm and reasonable accommodation.
In the middle of the lake there is a temple Ulun Danu, which is a shrine to the goddess Danu Sang Hyang as the giver of fertility.
In the west of Lake Beratan, surrounded by a bay there is a temple with Meru towering so graceful. Name Ulun Danu temple that is built around XVI century. This temple was built there must be intent and purpose as a place of worship of the goddess Danu public trust as the Goddess of Prosperity. And pretend that this is touted as an icon in addition to Pura Besakih Bali, the Kecak, Legong and Kecak.
In all the way to the temple, you will be displayed in a beautiful garden and complete with beautiful flowers in it. Then after passing the trail you will arrive at the front gate of Ulun Danu Beratan. Now, before you go, try to look to the left then you'll find other unique temple Buddhist temple which is still used.
