Haeundae Beach



Haeundae beach (해운대 해수욕장) is a beach located in Haeundae District, Busan city, South Korea. This beach is a crowded tourist attraction in the summer by tourists. Because of its location adjacent to downtown Busan, high-rise buildings and hotels lined up along this coast.

Various festivals are held in Haeundae Beach during the year include a celebration Jeongwol Daeboreum (February), Polar Bear swimming competitions in the winter, making sculptures out of sand (June), and the Busan Sea Festival (August). Near Haeundae Beach there are other attractions, the island Dongbaek, Oryukdo Islands, and BEXCO (Busan Exhibition & Convention Center).

  Most visited in the month of June to August. The beach is suitable for swimming because the water level is shallow and has not changed much despite choppy. Moreover, sand beaches were clean. Around the beach, lots of hot showers, restaurant and hotel that adds to the comfort of the tourists. On the beach is also often held cultural festival such as Haeundae Sand Festival, the Busan Sea Festival, and the World Beach Volleyball Tournament. Haeundae beach is located at the confluence of the East Sea to the South Sea, so really good to see the Moonrise.
